To conduct a thorough audit of hoof issues in barns, numerous factors must be considered, requiring detailed analysis, such as environmental conditions, past diseases, and nutrition.
In herds with high breeding standards, hoof trimming is performed twice a year. Even the removal of the smallest layer of old horn stimulates the production of new, more elastic horn with a higher friction coefficient, which in turn enhances the animals’ sense of balance and safety.

Nanotechnology in Hoof Care
That’s not all we’ve been working on in recent years.
We are thrilled to announce that, after a period of thorough and painstaking work in collaboration with professors from Polish universities, we have successfully developed the first Polish line of nanotechnology-based products for the prevention and regeneration of cattle hoof horn and equine hooves.
The Weihs Livestock and Weihs Animals product lines surpass other market products, which are corrosive and cauterizing, as well as locally used antibiotics with varying success in treating cattle hoof technopathies and equine hoof capsule issues. The broad-spectrum biocidal and collagen-promoting properties of nano silver represent a groundbreaking solution for the 21st century.
Particularly noteworthy is the innovative formula of our Regenerating Cream for hooves, which was developed by Jan Weihs himself. As a long-time practitioner, drawing on his own experience and extensive knowledge, he harnessed the power of nature and science to achieve an effect that no other cream on the Polish market can match, while ensuring the proper welfare conditions for cattle.
